Hi. I am facing the following problem while installing Visual Studio
2005.NET in my system (P4 with XP SP2 OS):

Microsoft.mshtml, Version="7.0.3300.0", Public Token
="b03f5f7f11d50a3a", File Version ="7.0.3300.0', Culture = "neutral".
The signature or catalog could not be verified or is not valid.
HRESULT: 0x80131045.

Do you have a solution?

Soumen

Go search for that assembly in the GAC (I think that is where it is) and
remove it.

Thank you very much for your reply. I could locate the corresponding
file in C:\WINDOWS\assembly in ADODB. This particular file ADODB could
not be deleted only the 'Uninstall' option comes. Instead of
uninstalling ADODB, I moved the folder 'assembly' to Recycle Bin. And
then tried to install VS2005.NET. But then i am facing another error:
An error occured during the installation of assembly
microsoft.Visualstudio.modeling, version = 8.0.0.0,
PublicTokenKey=b03f5f7f11d50a3a, File
version=8.0.50727.42.....Signature or catalog could not be verified.

These files of version 8.0.0.0 are there in assembly folder. Moreover
I could see the following folders v1.0.3705, v1.1.4322, v2.0.50727 in
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework.

My problem is still unsolved. Kindly help.

Best Regards,
Soumen
