Error 1406

I bought a new computer and I tried installing my PP 2003 and I get an error
#1406 that states "setup cannot write the value button text to the registry
key", and some more stuff. I assume it has to do with the fact that I have
it on my old PC but I don't know. Can someone help me, please?
