error 1402

I get this message error code 1402 .... When trying to
install. I have XP Pro. anyone got a fix for this ?

Hi onesdman

Please ensure that you are logged in under the same
account that first installed the original version of MSAS
when you are trying to update to the new version. This
account must be one that has Administrator rights.

I replaced my HD and the new drive was a mirror
But this is the only software that will not update, remove, reinstall as new
I did a regclean to get rid of it as best possible but I get that 1402 also
I know the username is the same as I only had one in the first place, ugh

It just will not install to this new drive. I have no other programs with
issues
I put the old HD in and it updated just fine using the same file, argh
Something to do with the drive copy just have it confused and refusing to
update

A corrupted Windows Installer?????.

Here's a link to download the latest Windows Installer,
which may do the trick if the problem really is the
