Error 10

When I install 1394 card, I get error 10. Microsoft describe my symptoms
perfectly & say I need Hot Fix KB894480. How do I get this Hot Fix when it
is almost impossible to contact Microsoft?

I tried that and got nowhere even tho I am legal. If I wanted to spend 60
pounds +vat I could get it but I feel microsoft should support their products
properly and supply it just like a security update

Say you want the Hotfix, then they give it to you no charge. That IS the
proper method to get the Hotfixes.
