Error 0x8050800f

After the scheduled overnight scan ran, I woke up to an error message:
"Windows Defender encountered an error: 0x8050800f. An unexpected problem
occurred. Install any available updates, and then try to start the program
again."

When I ran the updater, no updates were received.

DId anyone else receive this? What does it mean? Is this a known issue
that is already being addressed? I did not receive this error previously
while using WD.

Try, go to Windows Update, and check for critical Updates.

Both the WD updater and Windows Update indicated there were no updates
available. On the other hand, the scheduled scan ran without incident last
night. So, I guess that error code was just a one time fluke. I've set WD
to run a full system scan every day, partially for security and partially to
test the software. That one error code was the only problem I've encountered
that wasn't already answered in the forum. Thanks for the reply though.
