When I run Defender it first found 3 files it wanted to delete. Two were
deleted without any trouble. But wom.mytob could not be deleted. I got
error # 0x80004005 and the deletion failed.

What is this file. Does it need to be deleted and if so how, since program
errors trying to do so.

In the system event log will be log messages relating to the findings. They
should have the full path to the object--can you post a cut and paste from
the one related to mytob?

One idea would be to try this in safe mode, and also scan with an updated
antivirus--if such is not available, work in safe mode with networking and
scan with both Windows Defender and the scanner at safety.live.com. A
quickscan (run the complete scan and then choose quick scan ) is sufficient,
and quicker.

Looks like it only happens when running Full Scan. Note my other computer
looks like it find it also and looks like it removed it.

I'm getting the same error. There are no entries in the event log,
application, system or security. I can tell you, however, that the
offending file is:

C:\Documents and Settings\default\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\PowerReg
Scheduler.exe

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
