Equation Editor Symbols

I looking for a way to notate an arc (of a circle) composed of 2+ letters. I
found where I can put the arc notation over only one letter within Equation
Editor. Is there a symbol that expands to cover all of the points of
definition of a particular arc?

Not in Equation Editor, no. That's one of the additional features
