Equation Editor: Parentheses disappeared, leaving Vertical Fractio

Hello,

I wanted to create a Vertical Fraction in Round Bracket/Parentheses (the
order of creation is Parentheses followed by Vertical Fraction). When I exit
Equation Editor and back to Word, the Parentheses disappeared leaving only
the Vertical Fraction. How can I fix this problem? I'm using Office 2003 with
SP1 on Windows XP Pro with SP2.

Thanks.

With Equation Editor open, select Define from the Style menu.
These styles MUST be set to Symbol font: L.C. Greek, U.C. Greek,
and Symbol. Then you must do as Deborah said in her reply -- use
the parentheses from the EE palette, and not from the keyboard.
