Epson Stylus CX Printer Still Not Working

Hello,
I purchased one of the cartridge reprogramming devices & sucessfully
reprogrammed ( or reset) all 4 cartridge chips. Then figuring that
since the printer has sat unused for over 8 month that the nozzles
might be clogged. So I purchased a black cartridge from Cartridge
World, & still the printer works, but nothing gets printed. Is there
something that needs to be reset? Or does something else need to be
done? Mostly I just need the black cartridge to work - Epson Stylus
CX 4600.

Now here is a joke. The purpose of a printer is to print. This guy
claims that his printer works but does not print. Well if the printer
does not print guess what It does not work.

Hi.

You don't seem to know very much about your printer.

Epson printers have permanent heads, the Carts are only Ink Tanks. Changing
the Cart will not do anything to clear blocked nozzles.

Email Arthur Entlich, who features often in these groups and ask for his
cleaning manual.

Are any unusual LEDs lighted, unlighted, or flashing?

If not, then it sounds like the printer has clogged heads. If the
resetter isn't working on the cartridges, other LEDs light up.

The C and CX printers are particularly vulnerable to clogging due to the
resins used in making the Durabrite inks waterproof on drying. It also
makes them waterproof on drying in the heads, unfortunately.

When the heads dry out fully, the ink cannot flow through the nozzles
and the printer usually looks like it is printing but the pages come out
blank, or missing one or more colors.

I have developed a manual which gives step by step instructions on
methods of unclogging the heads of Epson printers. I also provide a
suggested cleaning liquid that dissolves all Epson and more 3rd party
inks. The cleaner is made from cheap home cleaners. I don't sell
anything, including my mailing list, and you won't hear from me, beyond
the manual, unless you ask me a question.

If you wish a copy of the manual (it is for Epson printers only, and for
the consumer models only), email me at the address below with a request.

Buy some cleaning carts

First of all, for those of you who find these problems amusing I do
not know much about the printer because I have been in a hurry while
posting these messages. So you can just screw off! For those who
responded with helpfull advice I do appreciate it.

Now before I try to clean the nozzle by hand I have looked for a
cleaning cart. but could not find any for the Epson TO44120. There
must be some reason for this? BTW if you just want to criticize or
make fun of my question, please do not bother to respond. But thanks
if you can offer more advice.

Use ammonia
Google: epson clog ammonia

You have removed the little adhesive strip on the cartridge, haven't
you?

If you have not yet requested my manual, you probably should, as it
explains most of this, and it is free. It also tells you how to make
cleaning cartridges yourself.

If you have already requested the manual and received it, please read it.
