Epson Stylus C80

Hi,

I own a Epson Stylus C80 printer. If I don't use it for a period of time,
say 2 - 3 weeks, the cartridges stop working. I assume they are drying out.
Is there some way to prevent this? Is this a common problem with this
printer?

Thanks,

Fred

I also would like to know how much is the longest period the printer will be
off without drying of the inks? Because of different type of inks.
By the way, my own C80's cleaning station failed. I suppose this is a
frequent situation in these printers because I've seen the pump is not
designed robust.

I know it, I don't have problems either. But I want to know how much was the
maximum time a such printer remained off without dried inks? A few weeks, a
month, two months, may four months, and after that it "recovered" with 1-2
cleaning cycles. I want to know because of different type of inks, and of
course I'm interested on OEM inks (aftermarket may differ).
E.g. I know that a 1160 printer could remain off for two months and then it
would print well without even one cleaning cycle.
