Epson R800 power issue

My Epson (R800) stopped printing recently, when I went to power cycle
the printer and reboot the PC the power to the printer would not come
back on. I have tested to power at the wall and all is good. Is this a
common issue with the Epson printers, bad power supplies? The printer
is a few years old and is used once to a few times a week to print one
or two items. Is there a internal fuse to check? Is a new power supply
available for the printer?

I am assuming you are getting nothing from the printer at all... no
blinking LEDS, so movement on start up is that correct? If so, it is
indeed likely the internal fuse. You did check the AC wire to make sure
it isn't disconnected? I do not have the service manual for that
printer, however.

Epson power supplies do not appear to fail any more often than other makes.
This printer does have a fuse on the power supply board. You need to remove the
covers to get at it. If the fuse has not blown the power supply will need to be
replaced (unless you know someone with the skill to repair it).
If you need more help please e-mail me.
