Hi,
why if I connect the scanner to adaptec 2940 UW card, my scanner is always
turn off?
(if I turn on the scanner and disconnect the cable (50 p /68 p), the scanner
is ready and the lamp is on)

Are you sure that you are not connecting it to your Parallel port by
mistake? It is worth checking this as it is exactly the error you
would expect if this were the case...
