Read all threads on this topic and found easy solution:
go to "default" contact in outlook and open:
click on contact your getting error message from
click on display and delete whatever is listed and hit enter
it will put in default display name
delete this and type what you want and hit enter.
then save this contact however you want....i drag and drop into new email
and send to myself
then delete same contact from Iphone as well as contact list on computer.
then drag and drop contact from wherever you saved revised contact.

next time you sync, you will be able to send email to this contact however
don't be suprised if another contact you randomly select to send another
email to gets same error message. It only happens after sync.

this is, however, a sync issue with Apple. i have called Apple tech
support.
Many other people should also call Apple if you have IPhone for following
issues:
battery charge stops working after around 3 months? (i'm on my 3rd iphone)
sync issue mentioned above where random contacts get this error message

How is this an Outlook issue? Sounds like an iPhone issue, which you need to take up with Apple support.

In addition, this doesn't begin to cover "all the threads" on this issue.
There are countless causes for this error, most related to improperly
written synchronization routines.
The actual solution remains the same as always. No one should ever run any
synchronization routine without creating and keeping current backups of
their Outlook data. When your synchronization program corrupts your data
permanently you restore from backup and tell the software vendor to fix
their software.
