I would like to do the following: I am planning to mass e-mail to some of the
contacts I have in Outlook. Is there a quick way to append the following text
(“Mailing dated 1.12.2008â€) in the notes sections of all contacts I am
planning to write to?

You could do it with some lines of VBA code.

OK, but ... I am not capable of writing VBA code.
Is there an alternative? I could think at least of one, but I find it a bit
uggly: export all the contacts to Excel, handle the text addition in Excel
(APPEND), and re-import.
Any better idea?

You can select multiple contacts and add a category to them, maybe that
would do? I don't know of any way of adding to the notes without code.
