Entering the paraphrase for WEP.

Can the "paraphrase" be entered into XP Pro when setting up
to use WEP? I can only see where to enter the actual WEP
key. If yes, some details or a link would be helpful.

Do you mean the "passphrase"? Some wireless routers and network
adapters let you specify a short phrase that they convert into the
string of ugly hex digits (A-F, 0-9) for the WEP key. Windows XP
doesn't have built-in support for passphrases. They're only available
if your wireless equipment supports them.

That's the answer I sought. You are correct, it is
"passphrase." Sorry for the misnomer. I can obtain the
actual 26 character WEP key from the router. Thanks.
