English OS on French Computer

Hi folks,
I've recently aquired a laptop over here in France. It's loaded with the
french version XP and of course lots of software. It also has the AZERTY
norme keyboard.
Although none of this poses any problems i was wondering whether i could
update from XP Home edition (french) to XP Professional (english). is this
possible?
The laptop is a Sony VAIO VGN-FS215m. Thanks in advance for your anwers

Windows XP is written in specific language versions, therefore one
cannot upgrade it from one language version to another. You'll need
to purchase a "Full Version" of Windows XP in the language version
you desire, reformat your drive and install it "clean".

Or if you have an available empty drive or partition, you can install
another "Full Version" of Windows XP in a different language version
and create a dual-boot configuration.

A good third-party partitioning program is Partition Magic 8.
