End program box when no program appears to be running

When I select Turn Off Computer from the Start Menu, and select Turn Off, Restart or Stand By, a box appears entitled "Ending Program - Dialog Box Demo" and says that if I select End Now I may lose unsaved information. However, no program appears to be running. A consequential box is titled "Outlook Express Fold Sync Windows" but I can't get rid of that either without selecting End Now. If I just leave it the computer does not turn off. Can anyone help?

Try to find out what program "Dialog Box Demo" belongs to - it looks like
you have an errant program running around. If you feel comfortable with Task
Manager, you can try using the list of processes to narrow down the culprit.

I tried to use Task Manager - the only applications running were those that were open, and I got a bit lost on the processes page - I couldn't see anything which suggested that it was related to Outlook Express. Does anyone know what I'm supposed to do to track down this program?
