I received a message from MSN regarding discontinuation of Encarta with MSN
Premium account. I'm trying to find out what it does on the e-mail account.
I tried contacting Verizon, since I have Verizon with MSN, no luck. I tried
to find a way to contact MSN about it, no luck there either. Anyone out
there know where I can go to find out what this program does on MSN Premium,
and if it will be replaced by something else (if it has to do with
spellcheck.)

Now is a great time to point you to one of the easiest ways to find
information on problems you may be having and solutions others have found:

Search using Google!
http://www.google.com/
(How-to: http://www.google.com/intl/en/help/basics.html )

From your posting...

What is Encarta in reference to the MSN Premium account
http://www.google.com/search?q=What+is+Encarta+in+reference+to+the+MSN+Premium+account

First hit - the FAQs on MSN web pages about what you are speaking of:
http://encarta.msn.com/guide_page_FAQ/FAQ.html

Fifth hit down the search results:
https://www.microsoft.com/presspass/newsroom/msn/factsheet/MSNEncartaPremiumFS.mspx

In case you still haven't understood what it is - it is not your
spell-checker, has nothing to do with that feature of - well - anything
other than you using it like you would a dictionary or encyclopedia
manually.
