Enabling remote desktop on multiple machines

Hello,

is there a reg hack or a GPO setting for enabling remote
desktop on a windows XP machine. Either of these options
would give me the chance to enable this setting on
multiple machines, instead of visiting each one and having
to manually set it up.

Please advise.

You can do this with WMI. For a sample script in Perl, see:

http://unattended.sourceforge.net/apps.html#rdconfig

If you have ActivePerl installed, you can just run:

perl rdconfig.pl --remote=MACHINE --allow=1

....to enable Remote Desktop on MACHINE.

The script is pretty trivial, so translating it to some inferior
language (e.g., Visual Basic) would not be hard.
