Enabling cookies

[Puzzled]

I cannot access my hotmail account. Message states that
the cookies must be enabled. How's this done?

Control Panel>IE Options>Privacy tab> reset to medium duh-fault (sic)>Apply>

Personally, I use the advanced settings which are to accept first-party
cookies, block third-party cookies, and to always allow session cookies.
