No. If there is one IDE controller, the numbered subkeys \0001 and \0002
correspond to the primary and secondary IDE channels. If there are two
IDE controllers, numbered subkeys for the primary and secondary IDE
channels for each of the two controllers may be \0002, \0003, \0004,
\0005 (source: MSKB 817472). If you want to run your drive in the
typical DMA transfer mode, just set the IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers to
"Auto" in device manager.

If you are running an Intel chipset then UDMA66 is disabled by default;

i finish test

i install fresh copy xp pro sp2

install driver for intel chips

test with serial ata2 disk

and install pcmark2005 test and another test for performance HD

i test speed and score 5000 for hdd test

after insert udma66 key in the registry in total subkey (0000, 0001,
0002etc)

reboot

test now and score 4900.

i repeat test with key and without key

max performance is without ultradma66 key

with key = 4900

without key = 5000

No idea why you're trying to force an S-ATA drive to run in U-DMA66
mode.

i test key dma66 in total configuration and see this key is useless and
some cases is worse for system
