Greetings,

The instructions states that you can accomplish a FAX
routing through an emaill address when a new FAX
arrives. I tried to configure it and have no luck. i
have a valid email address and my SMTP server is
localhost.

Is there any additional settings that I need to conduct
before I can get the incoming Faxes to route to an email
address of my choice?

Please advise..

Thanks,

Johnny

Verify if you did all of the following steps
1. Go to Fax Service Admin Console > Local Fax > Properties > Receipts Tab >
Fill all the configuration info, if you server requires advanced
authentication specify the correct password etc. And set the check box
indicating "Use these SMTP setting for the Route Through E-Mail incoming
routing method"
2. Now come to list of devices in Fax Service Admin Console > Devices >
Particular Device > Incoming methods > Enable 'Route through e-mail' > It
will ask if you want to configure. Choose yes & provide an email address.

HTH.
