enable DMA Windows XPpro - IDE Ata ATAPI controllers..

Hi, when using Pinnacle Studio 8, I'm given the error
message that my harddisk transfer rate is too slow. Well
it isn't by far. And I have been told by Pinnacle support
that the option "use DMA if available" needs to be
activated. But it doesn't help. So, how on earth do I
activate DMA in XP?
