enable active content based on program?

Is there a way to grant programs permission to run active content (launch
browser links etc) without me having to manually allow the link each time?
So far I only really need this with Trillian when I try to check my yahoo
mail. Checking my hotmail doesn't seem to be a problem, although maybe
that's just microsoft trusting it's own known links?

Accessing Yahoo Mail via Trillian with SP2

I also had the same problem

You can force Internet Explorer to allow ActiveX from files on your computer through the Internet Options > Advanced tab of IE6 under the Security section ("Allow active content to run...")

Hope this works for you too!
