.eml file association

My preferred email client is The Bat! and by just unchecking Outlook
Express from 'Add/Remove Windows Components' there was no problem with
maintaining the .eml association with The Bat!.

Since installing MS Office xp Profesional excluding Outlook, on each
reboot, the .eml association reverts back to Outllok Express and The
Bat! pops a dialog each time complaining about it.

I followed some MSKB article on how to remove outlook express but this
has not made any difference.

Has anyone any sugestions please.

Did the KB include removing registry keys, then renaming oe files and
then deleting these files? Which all three steps are necessary. This
site worked for me, skip the KB's and do the process below. I used
these steps when I installed Thunderbird + Firefox.

Correct, I followed the procedure implicitly.

Your post appears to be incomplete???

Thanks.

Sorted. I obviously had NOT followed the articles instructions fully.

Thanks again.
