***emergency*** AD restore with no system state available

Hi everyone
My only DC in the test enviroment Active Directory crashed and I need to
reinstall (I guess) the system state. Problem is the company who takes care
of backups for us do so on a UNIX machine and only of the file system.
Is there any way that i can restore the system state from there?

Depends what they are backing up. Technicaly you could do this by restoring
the contents of Windows folder, but I don't know if they backup all the
files, as they are in use during the server operation. You should provide
more info on what are they backing up .
