Embedding Sounds

All,

I wish to embed an MP3 of a custom sound sample to a PowerPoint presentation
(I am using Office 2003), however when I insert the sound, PowerPoint seems
to insert a link to the sound, rather than the sound itself.

Is there a way I can get PowerPoint to insert the file as an embedded
object, and start to play it when a slide is shown, without using any kind
of external program for such purposes (Winamp, media player etc)?

Regards,

Andi

Andi B,

Unfortunately only .WAV files can be embedded into powerpoint. Everything else is linked.

See "tools > options" on this page for how to embed wav files
Sounds/Movies don't play, images disappear or links break when I move or email a presentation
