Embedded porn pop-ups

Help!! My antivirus became disabled when I changed OS
from Windows ME to XP..I'm getting pop up porn windows in
Explorer that multiply on the spot..I think I've found
the culprit files, embedded in my Windows files..when I
go to delete them, they disappear for a moment thatn
reappear in the Windows file--I cannot get rid of
them..they are described as " Twain.dll Client's 32-Bit
Thunking Server" files and "Taskman"..

if all else fails, how can I dump XP and reload ME>?

Download and run Adaware from Lavasoft. It will clean out the popups.
Don't remove the files you list as they are system files.
