Norton antivirus problems/unwanted porn pop ups

hey, I keep on trying to run norton, what happens after I
click on it is that the window pops up, but it never
stays on the screen for more than 30 seconds, so if I try
to run a scan on my computer I can't start it fast enough
before the window dissapears, I was wondering if there
was a virus that might be causing it to do this.

Another thing that might relate to this is that I would
get random porn pop ups when I turn on my computer and
also while it's running, they are really annoying and
unwanted. I've tried to find the program start up menu
for opening windows but I can't seem to locate it. Is
there any chance that these two situations are related?
And if so how can I get rid of them??

Download & run SpyBot http://www.safer-networking.org/
after updating its deffinitions, to remove spyware.
Or Adaware, though presently there is a problem with their servers
Ensure yr Firewall is turned on
If you still cannot run Norton - I'm assuming Norton AV goto Symantec site
and run the online virus check
