Embedded pictures not displaying

I used to embed jpg images, send the file, and the recipient would have no
problem viewing the images. I recently upgraded to Office 2003. Now, when I
embed jpg images, the recipient sees the placeholder (box with red x). I
embedded an Enhanced Windows Metafile and they were able to view that just
fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you applied Service Pack 1 to Office 2003?

If not, choose Help, Check for Updates and perform the recommended fixes ...
then see if that solves the red-x problem.

Open PPT, go to Help/Check for Updates, and install SP-1 for Office 2003.

I have a similar problem to Ken (Embedded images not displaying - see below).
Images created on a Mac that have displayed properly in previous versions of
PPT, do not display at all when the PPT is opened in PPT 2003 (blank where
image is - no box with red x). The images print, they just don't display. Any
help would be appreciated.

Have you installed SP-1 for Office 2003? Go to Help/Check for Updates to
install it.
