Embeddable font not embedding...

I am placing a WMF taken from ArcView 3.2 in Word. I save with th
"Embed True Type Fonts" box checked; however, the font does not embed.
The font is "ESRI Transportation and Civic" and shows as Embeddable.
The font is primarily symbols. Does this make a difference? Anyon
else have trouble in getting an "Embeddable" font to embed?

My first impression is that you are placing a picture in the DOC, and
the picture has a font in it, and you want to know why the font
doesn't embed?

Word embeds fonts that are used in body text. Word thinks of a picture
as just a picture, having nothing to do with fonts.
