Embed sound in a .jpg?

Howdy,

I'm looking for a piece of freeware which will insert/embed a short sound
(hmmmm...midi/wav/mp3?) into a jpg (or other image format) file, then be
able to send that file and have it readable/hearable by the recipient.

Suggestions?

You can't insert a sound into a jpg. (I think this info was posted earlier.)

Best you can do is "combine" them somehow such as in a web page, a slideshow
program or similar. The sound is not embedded in the jpg, it's simply that
the program shows the pic and plays the sound simultaneously. Which process
you use depends on your needs.

Thanks for your responses. I did find that I couldn't embed the sound in
a .jpg but in my search, I found DubIt which makes a .exe/slideshow
thingie. It worked well for my purposes...
