embed an appointment as a hyperlink

Is there a way to embed an appointment as a hyperlink in a blast e-mail? We'd
like to send an e-mail with all of association week activities and attach
meeting appointments to each day, allowing those who want to attend to click
on the link and post it to their calendar. We are not needing to track
acceptances. Can you let me know if this is doable? Or, if there is another
option?

You can create ics-files for each appointment and then publish them on a web
server. The recipients can then press the hyperlinks and it will download
and/or open the ics-file with their default calendar application.
