Emails undeliverable. They never get out to email server. Why?

When I send an email, it will sometimes bounce back as Undeliverable. Problem
is that it never gets out to the server. Outlook seems to be bouncing it.
Only change I have made is to install a program called Mail Washer. Can this
be causeing the problem?

What is in the NDR message? Outlook doesn't bounce it or you would get a
Send/Receive error. A NDR is a report from the mail server.

What version of Outlook are you using?
What type of account are you usign
Does it work when you disable Mail Washer?

Using Outlook 2003
Just using the outlook for myself at home. Basic user account.
With Mail Washer closed, it will still happen but not as much.
The following is what it says when it bounces back....

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: RE: Hey Mayra....
Sent: 3/18/2006 7:02 AM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

'(e-mail address removed) on 3/18/2006 7:02 AM
550 #5.1.0 Address rejected.

I removed the email address only.

Configure your SMTP server to use authentication and try again. You can do
this in your account settings-> More Settings...
