Emails to Access

I'm searching for the best way to setup a troubleticket system. I am aware of
many different ways for doing this, but currently am exploring possiblities
with Access.

I would like to create an mdb that tracks and manages user issues or service
requests. As part of my plans, I would have users email their requests.

Is there a way to have these emails move into the database and to what
extent could I automate this process. I know "enough to be dangerous" so
please feel free to use professional terms.

I have in mind that on opening my mdb, I could then run a macro that would
import the emails intelligently. Maybe by associating the senders name with a
existing contact?

Please comment freely - I'm hoping to find flaws as well as solutions for
this hairbrained idea of mine.
