Emails saved to folder using rules disappear after 1 or 2 weeks?

I have Outlook 2007 running with Office 2007 on Windows XP with SP3. I have
set various rules to move incoming emails directly to specific folders. The
folders are subfolders of the inbox. The emails in one of the folders
disappear or are deleted automatically after about two weeks. This problem is
related to just one of my inbox subfolders. I can not find a setting which
would initiate the automatic deletion of emails. Can any body help me?

Do you synch with a hand-held device?

Please click on the folder holding the moved messages.
Look on the top right corner of the window
Do you see [Filter Applied]? (or something like that)

Nikki

Yes. The view is normal, and I have no auto archive.

Yes, I saw filter applied and now with a different view I see my emails....
I right-clicked on the folder originally and saw in properties that the view
was normal. I thought that this was also part of 'view'.
Incredibly easy. I guess I must have inadvertently changed the view.
Thank you. Much appreciated. I really thought I had some strange
self-destructing email virus!

Have you checked View settings for that folder?
Or archive settings?
