emails not displayed

with outlook 2007 on vista, just installed. All appears to be working, but
some emails to my verizon.net address get through, and others do not (from
same sender!). Missing messages do not get rejected, they just get lost -
never appearing in inbox. (Not appearing in junk mail, and I tried turning
off macafee spam filter, but that did not help.). The sender does not get a
failure to deliver message.

Do you have any Rules Wizard rules moving incoming items around?

I have rules, but none applied to the emails in question.

I'd disable all rules and the junk mail stuff in Outlook to be sure then
double check McAfee to be sure it isn't grabbing the items before they even
get to Outlook.
