Emails download but don't appear in outlook

My anti-virus program (AVG) always tells me how many emails it is
downloading, however some which are downloaded do not appear in Outlook at
all and I am unable to find them or know what they contain. I just want to
be able to receive all the emails that I am sent. I have Microsoft Office
Outlook 2003.

Has anyone else had this problem and can it be resolved?

Antivirus program does not download your email. It might be telling you how
many it is scanning, but it does not download them. Disable your anti virus
in Outlook and see if that changes anything. Also check your Rules and your
Junk Mail settings. Make sure you are not deleting any junk mail
automatically.
