Email to fax

Thomas Osthege

Hi specialists,

I run a Windows Server 2003 with SMTP server and MS fax services
installed. I want to route some emails that are coming in on one or more
certain addresses to an external fax machine.

I thought, I could use the installation for a task like this, but cannot
find out how. Could someone please give me some hints?

And also, is there a way to define a rule, that routes these emails only
if they contain a certain phrase?

TIA and have a nice day

Thomas

If you are using Outlook you can use e-mail rules to print the received
email to a Fax Printer - choose to print when you receive the mail & set the
Fax Printer as your default printer. You can define a rule so that it
triggers on key words in the email.

Thank you for your answer, but that is not the case. I want to solve
this without permanently running Outlook on this machine. Are there
sites that give me information, how to handle IIS with scripting?
