Email Stuck In Sent Box

Several weeks ago I sent an email to someone. Not only did he not get it,
but it appears to be stuck in my sent box. If I click on it, or the
highlight bar touches it, Outlook will freeze up and I have no choice but to
do a hard boot.
As well … when I now close Outlook, a message appears: “To free up disk
space, OE can compact messages …†and I am prompted to select either “OK†or
“Cancelâ€. If I select “OKâ€, again Outlook will freeze up and I have no
choice but to do a hard boot.
How do I get rid of this email in my Sent Box?
Version is XP
Your assistance would be appreciated. Thanks

Umm you mention Outlook and OE in the same post. What do you actually have?
(Outlook is a completely different program to Outlook EXPRESS). Do
Help-About to find out what you really have.

If you are getting the message about compacting, you are using Outlook
Express, not Outlook. Try an Outlook Express newsgroup.
