Email stuck in outbox

I have my email set up with Comcast. Up until about a week ago I have had no
problems with Outlook 2003 sending my email. I am beginning to get the
message below and can not send. It stays in my outbox until I delete. I have
checked my setting and accroding to what Comcast says I need, I have it all
configured correctly. Does anyone have any ideas??? Comcast can not do a
thing forme.

to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet
service provider (ISP)."

The two most likely causes are failure to authenticate to the outgoing
server (see the Outgoing Server tab of your account properties pages) and
scanning your outgoing mail with an antivirus scanner.
