Email sorting problem

The sorting restarts when there is more than one name in the To field. Is
there a way to keep the dates together when sorted by the first person in the
To field.
Outlook 2003, Windows XP, Exchange 2003 environment.
Ex.
email1 - To: Joe
email2 - To: Mary
email3 - To: Joe, Mary, Sarah
sorting restarts at Joe, Mary, Sarah and doesn't keep all of Joe email
together for the date.

no. It is sorting correctly. Sorry but that's what sorting does.
