recipient approx. 300 times b/4 I dragged the email from the outbox to drafts
several hours later. This happened once b/4. Any ideas?

Did it have an attachment?

No. It was a reply to an email that also did not have an attachment.

If you try to send the exact same message again, does it do the same thing?

The second time I replied to the same email it would not send at all. I started over with a new email (without replying to the original email) and it was sent without any problems. We had replied back and forth to the original email several times without any problems b/4 it was repeatedly sent.

Well, honestly, without a solid repro, it'll be hard to troubleshoot. I'd
try pulling out any email hooks your anti-virus might have, as thats the
most common reason you'll see odd things happening with sending email.
