email probls with outook 2003

since upgrading to office 2003, I have been having trouble sending and
receiving email. Usually I reboot and it will work for awhile then I get
error:

Task 'pop.east.cox.net - Receiving' reported error (0x80042108) : 'Outlook
is unable to connect to your incoming (POP3) e-mail server. If you continue
to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet
service provider (ISP).'

I never had problems with outlook express. Is this a bug? B.c I can get my
email thru the cox website. thanks,

I'd try removing the account and adding it back again while checking the
settings are correct.
