email problems with vista

I recently purchased a new computer, I have tried everything to get my email
to work including following some of the suggestions already on here, nothing
works, I keep getting the message listed below, please help.



Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: POP3,
Server Response: '-ERR login failed', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server
Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

Follow the instructions on the Comcast web site. The instructions for OE
apply to WM as well.

"Some of the suggestions" is not enough. You need to follow ALL the setup
steps:

Do you even have an account at Comcast? If so, see here:

Their instructions were written for Outlook Express, but should
also work under Windows Mail if you avoid the One Click Fix
and the instructions don't call for the HTTP protocol.

You may also need to try entering your username with no
CAPITAL LETTERS, and both followed by the portion of
your email address starting with @ and without this. When
entering your password, make sure you use CAPITAL and
lowercase letters in the right places. Some email servers are
picky about details like this.
