Email not partially working

After I accepted MS download patch in XP I can no longer sent email to my
POP3 account on my primary PC which connects directly to ISP.. My home users
can not send email as well but all of us can receive just fine.. please note
error message below.
1. Failed to find outgoing mai server Please help.
 
As you probably know "POP3" provides incoming mail and "SMTP" (outgoing mail
server) provides for outgoing mail.
Do the following: Outlook express>Tools>Accounts>Hi-light mail
account>Properties>Servers tab - there should be an entry for the SMTP
server.
