Email hangs when I try to send attachment

This is a new problem. I have windows xp and and am running office 2007. Im
sending messages in HTML. I had to do a clean install a few days ago and
since then I cannot sent attachments. I do not get a error message, the
program just hangs till I do control/alt/delete to get it from hanging. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.

short answer would be to turn off firewall and antivirus just to be sure
thats not it as they both can hang when scanning an attachment. although i am
sure someone in this group will know more than I but it is a start.

Uninstall your antivirus program and reinstall it without the mail scanning
feature.
