OUtlook 2000 SP3 question. I have looked through all settings and cannot find
a place to configure what happens to my emails once they are 'replied' to or
forwarded. They have suddently started to disappear from my inbox even
though I have made no changes to my settings.

Check your View to ensure it has not been changed to Unread Messages.

Thanks for answering, but under 'View' the check mark is by 'Messages'.

ONe other thing....there is another user posting this exact same problem, "My
mesages in INbox and unread mail cannot be saved", further down the list of
postings.

OK OK I fixed it. I do not know how but my setting were messed up. It WAS in
the view. I clicked on VIEW then on ARRANGE BY then on CURRENT VIIEW then
click on MESSAGES. (this may not be your case but I did have Unread messages
in this folder checked) Good Luck!

What version of Outlook are you using? I do not have those options under the
'View' menu.

Your view has probably been set to "Sort by Icon."
When you reply or forward, the icon changes and the messages is sorted out
of view.

I have version 2003. I just downloaded it as the trail a week ago. When you
open under VIEW the ARRANGE BY then go down to CURRENT VIEW on the bottom and
that is where I clicked on MESSAGES. I also went in on the Favorite folders
on the sidebar and deleted UNREAD MESSAGES. The messages are now going
straight to my Inbox or my AntiSpam Folder. They are not dissapearing
anymore. Good Luck!

You are right! It was set to 'Icon'....which on should it be set on?

Anything but that.
Current versions usually sort by Conversation.
You can also just return your view to the default. Icon is never the default
Sort sequence.
