email delay

Currently we have this problem with a couple of users:
The user does not receive email until he/she clicks on a
folder in outlook. It is as though Outlook stops
responding until accessed. Nothing has been changed from
the user's setup.

Both are running Outlook2000 on XP Professional.

Sounds like an RPC issue. What version of Exchange are you using? Any
firewall between those users and the Exchange server?

Ben: Thanks for the insight. We are running 5.5 and
there isn't a firewall bettween the user and the exchange
server. I checked out the microsoft document, however
what about XP professional?

The article should apply to XP Pro too I believe. You don't have the
personal firewall enabled on those XP machines do you?
