I have a yahoo dsl account for email but also outlook express. Lately
a single email is coming into outlook hundreds of times. I've just
deleted over 300 email duplicates. Anyone know why this is happening?

Thanks

I have ATT -Yahoo! DSL. Is your email account accessable through your IE
Browser too? I happen to use Outlook Express for a Newsgroup tool mostly,
but I have found that because my E-mail settings were installed into Outlook
Express during Setup of my web account - that any mail I might leave in my
Inbox is downloaded to Outlook.

So, if you have an Http:// webbased Yahoo mail account with your DSL
subscription, first I'd go into that from IE and see if that Email causing
the problem is still in your inbox. Hopefully, its not something very
important. If it is there - delete it. Then reopen OE and see if it still is
trying to download.

Repost in an Outlook Express newsgroup.

It isn't an Outlook Express problem. When Yahoo goes wonky, it doesn't
matter what mail client you're using.

Yahoo does this every now and again. I once spent five days deleting
extra email copies. If you write to customer support, they will reply to
you *after* they clear the problem, and they will tell you they have
checked their servers and everything is operating normally.

That's all the explanation you'll ever get from Yahoo.

It makes no difference that you have five or six different email
accounts, and your email client is receiving mail from all the others
without this problem.

The only thing that works for me when this happens is to log into
webmail and either delete the email(s) in question or move them to
another folder.
